Fantastic Upgrade
Having worked for over 10 years out of a bargain bin, 41 inch craftsman roll cab, an antique 26 inch Proto box, and a small 14 inch side box, this Extreme Tools DX combo is fantastic. It holds all my tools with some room left to grow. My transmission jack fits in the side locker and the hutch is really nice to be able to just close it down and walk away from it. The factory work surface top on the box is 1 inch thick high density plastic that should stand up to my abuse for years, no need for a stainless steel top. Shipping was easy and painless, it came in three separate wooden crates and was packaged extremely well, not a single scratch on any one of the pieces when I put it together.

Great upgrade
Having worked for over ten years out of a mismatched 41”craftsman roll cab, a 26” antique proto box, and a 14” antique “tool truck says it’s no good anymore” side box, this Elite DX box combo is fantastic. It has room to spare after getting all my tools moved over, the tranny jack fits in the side locker along with suction pumps and various blow-molded cases. Prompt shipping in three pieces, all of which were in heavy wooden crates and all contents arrived without even one scratch. I really like having the hutch to close on my stuff and walk away. The factory plastic counter top on the roll cab is close to an inch thick and works great, no need for a stainless top. I might have liked to see the box be a bit deeper, closer to the RX series, but that is pretty minor as I still have space left in a couple of drawers. Overall a great box that should last me for years as a professional fleet mechanic.
